I am Dr. Keri Petersen, Assistant Professor of History at JCSU and coordinator of the History Program. This is my 10th year as a college professor (3 at JCSU) and I specialize in teaching American, African American, and Atlantic World History. I am currently working on a book manuscript, Industrial Slavery and the Economic Development of North Carolina. I am a native of Charlotte, though I have not lived in the city in quite some time.
